So, who's not in a hurry to buy a Nexus 6? Are you waiting for reviews? Do you want to get your hands on one first to see if the phone is too big? Are you worried about any manufacturing defects in the early batches? Maybe you simply believe that good things come to those who wait?

Both of the above, but mainly the latter. :)

Also, it gives me some time to consider the 2014 Moto X as an alternative.

Neither for me -- But I will be reading about it because I am really curious! :).

There is always something better right around the corner.. If you keep waiting you'll never get anything.... CES in January and Mobile World Congress in February will most likely have some 64 bit snapdragon 808 and 810 phones on display..... By March you are probably looking at the Galaxy S6 (or whatever they call it) and by summer we probably got a Oneplus Two (rumor is they are already working on a new device) and LG will probably be ready to show off the G3 upgrade... and then the Note 5 and next round of Nexus rumors...

Crazy cycle....

Not in a hurry just wish it was available to purchase. I will wait patiently, so until then I will enjoy the reviews.

I'm waiting for the play store to have inventory of the color/storage I want , not interested in getting it from the carriers

im also waiting for reviews....its either going to be the Nexus 6 or the Note 4...
Im hoping to have a new phone in the month of November (or at least order one)

Maybe the review embargo is still in place? That's a possibility.

Would it be viewed as a promotion to other sites? ..... I dunno, oh well. Not a huge deal regardless, I just found them convenient. Just hoping we get something soon from someone. I'm getting anxious

I have seen a lot of people mentioning the embargo, but haven't seen where they got that from. I mean it makes sense, but is there proof that they are making people wait until the 12th? Or is it possible it'll be lifted before then?

Several publications have mentioned there is a review embargo that Google will lift on November 12... only unboxing and initial impressions allowed until then!

I can wait till the Google Play or Motorola buttons become active. I currently have 4 phones in my pocket to keep me satisfied: right pocket - iPhone 6+ and LG G3; left pocket - Nexus 4 and a One Plus One.

Nice, I have two the the same devices a 6+ and OPO! Plus a Nexus 5 and Lumia 925! I will wait till January if I can. Need to sell my other androids.

Wtf are doing that you need 4 phones in your pockets? That many girlfriends would be very hard to keep up with.

I don't know how patient I am, but I am going to be waiting to buy. First, no chance of getting it on pre-order from Google, both because of the quick sell-out/low supply (you choose which) and because I'd need to save a while longer to comfortably buy the phone outright. So now I might as well wait and see what the carriers bring---Will the price be good? Will the phone still be a nice, pristine Nexus without a lot of bloatware? I'll just see what happens once the N6 is out in the general population.

All of the reasons stated by OP. Also considering note 4 but leaning towards n6
