Nexus 6 Still Worth It?

I recently picked up a Nexus 6 from an Amazon warehouse deal, 64GB for just under $270. Yes, it is a great phone especially considering current prices.

...T-Mo does not allow WiFi calling on unlocked phones.

Not to split hairs but technically, that statement is incorrect. For instance, the Nexus 6 I bought through Amazon is unlocked and wifi calling works fine on T-Mobile. T-Mobile and the handset manufacturer have to support wifi calling on t-mobile's network. As I understand it (anyone, please correct me if I am wrong) that generally only happens on models that T-mobile sells. Although in the case of the Nexus 6, a phone purchased elsewhere will still get the feature. Of course, just to mess with that rule the Nexus 5x and 6P work with wifi calling but T-Mobile doesn't sell those.

I'm talking more about carrying it in my pocket, etc. A larger phone "feels" more fragile, but I know it's psychological.
Havent heard about common issue with N6 screen cracking in pocket. I'd be more worried about dropping the phone without a case due to the slightly curved glass.

I'm just trying to get used to the size, as far as carrying it. I'm a bit hesitant to put it in my pocket. Have there been any issues with breakage?
I've dropped mine a few times and haven't had any issues but I always have a case on it. As far as carrying it, I usually have it in a shirt pocket or the pocket of a sweatshirt. Sometimes I have it in my jeans pocket but that's rare. I wouldn't worry about it though.

I have a Spigen case on mine. Not too big yet protective.

I think the SIM card plays a part in it too. Could be wrong. I do notice that the N6 isn't as aggressive as the Note 5 as wanting you to use WiFi calling. My wife's Note 5 is always bugging her to change the settings to WiFi preferred. Once I set the N6 to cellular perferred, it was happy and haven't got another notice related to it.

My first initial and picky gripe is the lack of Moto Dispaly (Active Display) which is a Moto exclusive for the Moto X's and 3rd Gen Moto G. Other than getting used to the size, this phone does rock. Once I get used to the size, I know I will love this phone. It may de-throne the 2nd Gen Moto X as my favorite phone. Again, thanks for all of your inputs, it was greatly appreciated and helpful.

Loved the phone but sent it back. Terrible connection quality was the reason. It performed much worse than my moto G and my wife's note 5. I'm not too happy about it as I loved it otherwise. Again, thanks for all the input earlier.

Since my phones always end up in my pants pocket along with coinage and two small sets of keys, I keep the phones in wallet-style cases. Even some relatively cheap ones don't add alot of bulk to the phone and still give you some peace of mind about that big ol' display.

Just purchased a Moto G to see if I like the size better. I don't particularly like the bulk of a case.

I just put the SIM in mine about two weeks ago. I really missed this device. It really is still a good smartphone. I haven't had any issues with it at all.

Sounds like you got a bad unit. But that can happen with any phone. Motorola is known for good signal quality.

I was having issues with my LTE signal on my Nexus 6 so I decided it was a good enough reason to try out a 6p. I love this device. I still think the Nexus 6 is great though.

It really is. I've had mine for over a year and I love it. It's a beast.

It really is one of the best big phones to ever hit the streets. I plan on keeping my N6 until the 2017 Nexus comes out. That's how good the N6 is. I feel no need for anything better right now. A big beautiful screen with a very fast cpu is a recipe for happiness. I'm not a shutterbug, so camera quality to me is more than good enough. (it's probably good enough for almost everyone except a pro photog. If you need that good of a camera, just get a dedicated DSLR) Btw, I went to college for photography and have had several darkrooms. I know a thing or 2 about photos.
