Nexus 6 vs Nexus 5 size comparison (Cardboard Cutout)

I am assuming the same between the Nexus and, say, a Note 4.

I had not really held a Note 4 until today..... It's pretty much the Note 3.. I didn't feel the Note 3 was too big except for my buddy who had his Otterbox Defender case on it (But he is a mechanic so just par for the course he plays) It's still going to be hard to say until you physically have the Nexus 6 in your hand.... The 2013 and 2014 Moto X both feel amazingly small.... The 2013 felt tiny compared to my Nexus 5 and even the new 2014 version actually felt smaller.... The Note feels bigger....

with pretty much the same design language as the Moto X I am going to just guess it's going to feel a little smaller than it is....

Just buy it and adapt like we do with these hoes

I remember my OG EVO 4G.... it was only 4.3 inches and the day it arrived at Best Buy to pick up I walked out saying... There is NO WAY I am going to be able to manage this monster on a day to day basis.... within a month it was comfortable within two months it was just like the Nexus One it replaced... Just another device....

and now I am chomping at the bit to get a 5.96 inch device..... amazing how things change....

But yes.... You should adjust rather quickly.....

I didn't know that our creator gave us two hands in anticipation of phablets. Thanks for that insight. SMH.

Some of us need to multi-task.

We will eventually evolve to have bigger hands to adapt to these big devices.

Wow. That doesn't look that much bigger than my Nexus 5. Definitely manageable. Maybe too manageable... When are they coming out with the 7" phone!? :p

Not sure I understand your comment but I'll give you an example for arguments sake:

I have a concealed carry permit. Someone is trying to rob me. I counter his attempt at a violent crime and hold him at gun point. There is no way in hell I am holstering my weapon so that I can dial 911 with two hands.

No need to be condescending. Different people have different thought processes. I think tactics.

"OK Google... dial 911"

I honestly think that Google is selling a bigger phone because they suspect you will use voice actions and Android Wear devices for the simpler tasks. And with the OK Google phrase now being recognized with the screen off its even easier.

At that point I would hope you drop your phone and blast the criminal. I think your life is worth more than a phone. And at the same time you wouldn't be calling 911 on a phone you could 1 hand in the same scenario.

LMAO...this has to be the most ridiculous/extreme scenario I've ever heard in support of one handed use.

Manufacturers should start using this as a selling point: "Ability to use phone and hold a gun at the same time!!"...LOL.

Okay Google, Call the Cop!

What's this obsession of using phones with one hand?
Not sure if you realize this, but most many people use their phones to view pornography (or sex chat), so they do need one hand free. So I personally would be careful when I handle people phones, especially from guys.

I have the Note 2 and am a petite gal with small hands, and, the note has been a real joy to use, and quite comfortable. I'm hoping the N6 will be too.

There's no point arguing back and forth with people, trying to convince them to love a phablet. Some people want one, some people don't. It's preference. I think the one handed use thing is usually a stupid excuse, but who am I to judge.

Yeah, because that scenario is so common. It makes sense that that's what you thought of. SMH.

I have an ice cream cone. Someone is calling me. There is no way in hell I'm dropping my ice cream cone to answer the phone.

Different people have different thought processes. I think tactics.

You really think you can't answer a call with one hand,
For real

Lol this is getting ridiculous, people trying to convince other people the phone is too big for them just because they don't want it themselves.
I never understand that as well. A lot of different size phones are available, go get the one that fits you.

Stopped by at&t today to hold the iPhone 6 plus to get an idea what the Nexus 6 might feel like, it felt pretty manageable to me. Then I held the LG G Flex which is pretty close to the Nexus 6's width according to phone arena's size comparison, and it didn't feel near as comfortable to me. At that point the security device came unplugged from the G Flex and set off a super loud alarm in the store which was interesting. Anyway seeing as the Nexus 6 is even slightly wider than the G Flex according to phone arena, i'm hoping the curved back makes it feel better to hold. I must say, I am a little intimidated by the size of the Nexus 6, but I will adapt! A Motorola Nexus on Verizon is what I've been wanting for a long time so I'm not gonna let the size stop me.
