Nexus 6 (Water Damage.) SPLASHED. water resistant, I don't think so.

Hi, so yesterday my phone was near the pool atop my bag and it got splashed! (chlorine based pool.) (somewhat of a shamu splash.) so, Immidiately, the phone was wet for about 25 seconds, and I dried it , ran home, but my folks were not home. I waited about 7 minutes for them to come home (And being a waterdamage newbie, with no one experienced around, I tried to turn it on. (...about 10 times.) Google start up showed up for a while then stopped, and I assumed it was dead of battery, So I went home, Tried to charge it (After drying it with a towel and vaccuming and water out.)left it charging for a couple minutes, and same result, except now all I heard of my phone, was a very significant flatline. (****.) So following that, we dried the water inside the camera ,put it in rice overnight, tried to turn it on (It has to be connected to the charger, otherwise, it will not make a peep of try.) and Voila! ....it's still dead. It's currently back in the rice, I've noticed I've done everything you're NOT supposed to do, by reading forums, but is there any possible way to save my ***? Thanks.

Well, I don't know if you had that Tmobile plan where you can swap phones as they come available. That plan, also has a built in insurance policy. That would be welcome in this instance.....Otherwise, I fear that happening as well as taking this expensive (very slick) phone out of it's armor....On the other hand, my S2 got dropped in a puddle and the microphone had stopped working immediately.....I knew it DOA and I ignored it for a week. I turned it on for curiosity and low and behold, it worked fine--for months until my Nexus 6 showed up

Might get lucky. Let it sit in the rice for a few days and give it a try. Unless perfect, get rid of it. Trouble ahead.
