I figured out you either have to launch the camera app from the camera icon or have a different gallery app. If you go into the camera from the double tap it locks the gallery. Not sure all the reasons why, but that seems to be it.

It locks because you locked the phone by hitting the power button. It's not doing anything wrong, it is working as designed.

I want to add on to what maverick said. the reason why its locks is because of a settings in security "Power button instantly locks"

you can disable this and you wont have this problem

Thank you again guys. I didn't realize hitting the button twice would lock it on the first push. I thought where it was a camera shortcut they would have built a bypass. I am still learning Nexus came from a Droid Turbo, but I love the 6P.

Just finished the update. Using on T-Mobile in the Denver metro.
On boot up it did flip between H and 3g for about 5 minutes before connecting to LTE.
We have band 12 here but and I just checked w LTE discovery and it is active.

BTW... I stopped checking for the update manually for the last couple days but I did go in and tapped the check for update and then it suddenly popped up asking me to download..

yeah same here, just got the update in Dubai. When I was checking every hour, it never came through, when I gave up and forgot about it, I got a notification about the update

Did this upgrade screw up the Radio, I can't get LTE.

Same here. Finally got the upgrade an hour ago, and to my disappointment, I lost LTE! Rebooting didn't help either. I'm on AT&T by the way. Very frustrated right now.

^^^ this... Just leave it for as long as you can. It will connect. That's what mine did.
It worked fine going from H to 3g but then kicked in.

6.01 fixed the AT&T signal strength bars. I never got more than 2 maybe 3 bars at home with any phone until the 6P came and it always showed full strength which was wrong. With 6.01 I'm now seeing 2-3 bars on average.

Haha you're right. It eventually did. Took more than half an hour in my case. Hopefully it won't take another half an hour the next time I reboot.

Glad your phone is running well again. I know iOS is like that too when you view the gallery if the phone is locked.

Try going to Settings > More > Cellular Networks > Access Point Names. Then click the 3 little dots then reset to default. Then reboot and see if that helps.

Thanks. Never thought about resetting APN I usually put it on Airplane mode then off.

Just have to wait for your "number" to come up in the staged rollout. My 6P got the update to 6.0.1 today.

My Nexus 9 got the update 3 days ago.
