Is anyone having issues with the default Android Messages app on their Nexus 6P? My app keeps force closing/crashing. Telling me messages aren't sending, even though people are getting them, then complain I sent it 5 times, though on my end looks like I sent it only once.

Well, before you worry about the messages themselves you should solve the application crash problem. First thing is to reboot into Safe mode and see if the problem still occurs. If it does, clear the cache and data for the app (still in Safe mode) and try it again. If it still happens then uninstall updates for the app (this will roll back to the original version) and try it again (still in Safe mode).
If that all fails it's time for a Factory Reset.
