Hi all.

I've had my 6P for a couple of days now and I've noticed some battery drain under code 99057 with the Android robot next to it. It generally drains 2-3% of the battery per day so it's not a huge problem, I just want to know what it is. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Do you mean the Android OS? If so I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I can't post a screenshot from the AC app, not sure why, so I can't show it. It has the same Android logo next to the description (but a black one, not grey in colour?) and the numbers 99057. I'm going to see if I can upload a screenshot another way.

Yep that's the one.

How did you upload the screenshot? I can't do it from the app or the desktop version of the website on my 6P. Sorry - this is my first post here.

I "THINK" you have to have a minimum # of post before they allow you to upload pictures or links.

It's usually with an app that you just uninstalled. Since the app isn't available anymore, it gives it a code.

I have the same things on my phone (and I've had as many as 5 at one time). I haven't uninstalled any apps in the last few days and I'm currently have two on their, so it's not that. I called into Google tosee what they had to say, and their opinion was that it was a system process (like the ones we used to see that said something on the order or com.huawei.camera or sandbox.something). Apparently it's nothing to worry about. I was mainly alarmed that we had a grey icn for Android OS and this one is black with no way to know what the app actually is, and I worried it might be malicious.

I would assume it isn't malicious given mine came up on a brand new 6P with a clean install. However we should never assume anything I guess.

Just a thought, but what about these main so process, I've wiped my Nexus a couple times and I usually set it up as a new device so it doesn't restore. There are a few Google apps that restore no matter what lines docs, sheets etc. So maybe the system is catching this before the apps are actually restored and showing a battery use percentile. It would make sense as numerous people in the thread have the same statement just different codes. I dunno, just a guess.

I don't think it's malicious anymore, but I was worried it was before I talked with Google support. And I also have a clean device, it was only 5 days old when I contacted them, and the only things I've done is load most of my previous phone's apps.

I get mine with 10186 code, same black android logo.

I've seen numerous different codes, though most of mine are something like 99076 or 99085. Most start with 990, but IIRC I also saw one like yours with a 101 at the beginning also.
