I recently just received my Nexus 6P and found out the my Xiaomi Piston 2's do not work with the phone at all (no sound unless holding down button as you plug in, and no button functions), which I have to admit is quite disappointing especially being that the earbuds worked with every other android phone I have owned and used. After research it seems that the Nexus doesn't play nice with these as well as a lot of others. Is there any wired earbuds with mic and controls that work completely, also which are as affordable as the Xiaomi's? I do have bluetooth headphones and earbuds but would also like a wired option. Thanks for any tips!

I use these.
And they work great with cases.

Those Huawei look nice, and after finding some for sale on Amazon, it seems like the reviews are glowing. How good do they really sound?

They aren't cheap but as someone who uses earphones daily on my train commute, I love my Klipsch R6m. They might go by a different model number now but I got them for $99. Superior audio quality (I've also worn Bose and Beats headphones) and the button to answer calls, pause, advance track, etc. works perfectly.

I also like Klipsch (S4). Very good sound isolation, bass has palpable range, and I get an immersive soundstage effect. But better for higher bit rate audio.

I have the Shure SE215 and I absolutely love them. They are about $99 but sound great. It comes with the comply foam tips so sound isolation is probably one of the best I have used. I use them for running and no issues with sweat or calling out.

Thank you all for the tips I'll definitely look into them.

If you want to go wireless, and workout. I suggest any bluebuds X. Either the 1's or 2's. Great sound, and connection.
