Re: Facebook is such garbage

No kidding?? So when you do this, does it just prompt you for your Facebook username and password?

This is good info none the less. Might have to try it out just want a few more details.
Yes. When I log into the game, candy crush for example, the first time I hit log in to Facebook and a window pops up for me to enter username and password.

Kick ***. Thanks for the info. I was always under the impression that you had to have FB installed to backup games to it. Gonna try this out now.

Thanks again!!

Re: Facebook is such garbage

I swear I'm the only person who hasn't had any problems with the official Facebook & Messenger apps. Neither even shows in my battery stats, and I use both regularly.

No, you're not the only one. According to my battery stats, neither one of this apps affect my battery significantly either. But I thought about removing those apps anyway just to see if it really makes a difference.

I've never really had battery issues, even when using FB but deleted it anyway since I can still get notifications using Chrome. I can't really say I've noticed a huge battery improvement; I still get excellent results.

Is there an alternative means to quickly share things to Facebook without the mobile app? Photos are a bit of a pain to handle when just using the mobile site.

The best thing in the world you can do is limit your Facebook time to once a day for less than 10 minutes. Remove the app, remove the messenger. Get your friends to use Whatsapp or Hangouts. Go to Chrome and use the Facebook website (add to home screen in the options) and get that putrid app off your phone and start to wean yourself from that toxic service. It's effectively given people excuses to no longer try to interact with each other in any other meaningful way.
