So recently got my S6 Edge Plus and not liking it that much was deciding to return it for a 6P any suggestions? (I am aware of some features i might lose)
Thanks a lot.

It's all taste and preference. With the 6P you get stock experience, you still have fingerprint sensor. You loose wireless charging, Samsung pay and touch wiz. Me personally, I would make the jump.

Samsung is an amazing choice short term.

However, historically the Samsung phones do not age well.

You could pick up a Nexus 4 today, update it to the latest Android version and start using it today.

Try that with a Samsung S3 and the experience will not be half as good

Agreed. Everyone has their preferences of course but wireless charging isn't worth much, we all know the majority of opinions on touch wiz! Samsung pay is probably more functional right now than Android Pay but I think AP will soon catch up...BUT Android 6.0 stock and the regular updates outweigh all those others and this is probably the best fingerprint sensor out.....go with the 6P! and lastly u probably feel better spending less $

One of my friends has an s6 edge and I cant get over how absolutely beautiful the curved screen is on that phone. It's a very unique design that just looks awesome IMO.

With that being said, one huge positive doesn't make up for the fact that the edge also has touchwiz. I cannot stand touchwiz or anything that touchwiz bloats the phone with. Touchwiz alone makes me avoid samsung phones. I would personally jump to the 6p

I'll add my voice to the "TouchWiz is terrible" crowd.

But honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with either phone. If the S6 Edge+ isn't for you, try something else :) the N6P is a great phone and has quite a few advantages.

This guy says it how it is 100%

I got the edge plus too because I didn't expect much from the nexus this year before launch..

Having said that I come from a nexus 5.
Love vanilla android ,

using a material design theme (on the edge plus) along with Google apps and now I don't miss stock much ..

Your deciding factors are-
a better fingerprint scanner on the nexus, metal vs glass. And slightly better battery life on the nexus(although I got 6 hrs of sot on my edge plus today with very few compromises) . Plus you can get a 128 gb 6p for the price for a 32 edge plus. .although least where I'm based

Don't worry about touchwiz or bloatwate ...
Or even ageing.
The very effecient processor and 4 gigs of ddr4 ram, along with the faster rom and I assure you this phone will last you forever..

Ofcourse !

Since you have the edge plus,
Would you agree that the novelty factor with the edge display dies pretty fast?

Oh and forgot to mention..

Google isn't letting oems tinker with the doze when they release marshmallow..
So I'm expecting even better battery life on my edge plus!

Wireless charging loss and a bigger phone with the same screen size were the two main points for me removing the 6P from my Play cart and keeping my Edge +.

I'm trying to make the same decision except with a S6 Edge....I've owned multiple Samsung devices in the past. They are great when they come out, but often times get left behind when the next latest and greatest gets released. Especially on Verizon.....choice will be hard because the edge display is beautiful and unique

Samsung sucks in my opinion ill take stock Android over that ugly interface anyday. Of course thats just me. But they undoubtedly age horribly. U could pick up my nexus 4 and 5 they still run just as fast

IMHO, I wouldn't worry about Samsung pay either. Now that Apple pay is out (uses the same tech as Android pay), you'll see more and more merchants upgrading their equipment. Also, a lot of merchants will be updating their systems because of all the new Debit/Credit cards that are being sent out to consumers with the embedded security chips in them so they'll most likely receive new terminals with Android/Apple pay in them as well.

That's just my opinion.

Your really going to miss the frustration of how convoluted the TouchWiz is. I had a S6 Edge. I hated the feeling of the Edge screen in my hand. I also couldn't stand when I had a second call come in that the on screen options were so small. TouchWiz looks good, but everything takes more steps it seems and it is simply slower to navigate. You will find a few things that you are going to want, but apps can compensate for most. Now I have a Moto X Pure. Much better battery life, seems quicker, but crappy camera. The S6 Edge camera was amazing. Getting the Nexus 6p hoping for a camera upgrade over the Moto X, and also I want the finger print scanner and Amoled screen. If the camera is 80% as good as the S6, I'll be happy. Keep in mind, that I had the S6 and not the S6+. As for Samsung Pay, I think that will last no more than 2 years before it goes out to pasture. Samsung wants to be like Apple, and corner a market, but Android is too large. If you were a vendor, wouldn't you rather offer Google Pay than Samsung Pay? Google Pay is open to all Android phones, including Samsung.

I've had most if not all of the Nexus and Galaxy devices on Verizon. I am such a phone junkie! With that being said, I am currently using the N6P as my daily driver. I've had the S6 Edge plus, but the novelty ran out after a few days. So I then got a Note 5. The wireless charging to me is also a novelty. I really think the battery life on the N6P is much better than the two Samsung flagships. I don't really use the pay apps as I have the coin. The two most important options for me are best (and only) on the N6P....rooting and very fast, no lags! For me, the Nexus is the best device out!

S6 edge plus with all its design features is EXCITING. It's exciting in the hand, it looks exciting everything about it is punchy and new and stylish. Not saying that the 6p isn't stylish, but there isn't much difference left between phones nowadays.

I would want a phone that after spending so much money on it, every time I look at it and pick it up, I feel excited about it and know that I own something unique.

I've owned iphones before. And in my opinion it has nothing but that Apple logo which I think makes it worth it. It makes you feel like you own something special and substantial.

Since I've moved to android side of things (I'll never go back) I've had that feeling only when I had the HTC one M8. And now with this, the Samsung galaxy s6 in gold. I don't even have the edge variant. It feels special, unique and substantial.

Nexus 6p is an amazing phone. But it's just a phone. There are so many good phones now which are "just phones". I'd say stick with what makes you happy. Stick with what you "want" to own.

If it was me I'd stay with the S6 edge plus. OR go with the frost white nexus 6p because the black bar on it looks the sweetest. And unique.

Otherwise they're both amazing phones.

And please stop with the aging of Samsung phones comments. It's not the case anymore! They don't lag or anything anymore. Not with the flagships at least. Touchwiz is not the touchwiz we used to know. I think it's great!

And since this is the 6P forum you will probably have a little bias towards the Nexus. Which would probably be the same towards the 6S+in that forum.

One of the reasons I sold my S6 edge was lag in TouchWiz. Also bad signal and battery.

Have you tried installing Nova Launcher? Nova Launcher should be able to paper over the flaws of Touchwiz
