Absolutely agree. Higher numbers on the processor name and RAM seem like little more than extra gilding on an already shiny lily. Some alarmists, however, like me, are worried by the rumors that suggest that the 6P's successor may sport a smaller display, something in the goes-with-everything 5.2 to 5.5 range rather than the glorious 5.7 to 5.9 range. Given those rumors, I would much rather see a 5.7" Nexus 6P with updated internals in 2016 than a Nexus 6-anything with a display under 5.7".Originally Posted by Sammytheorangutan

This....
I think this is a tech hangover. It wasn't that long ago that even a 'half' generation saw big improvements... like the old saying "If it's in stores, it's already obsolete". That just isn't the case any more. I agree with you 100% that the 6P still compares favorably with any of the phone we saw this spring, and it'll be on more even ground with the phones we will see this fall than in any previous generation. Plus, there is still plenty of SD810 FUD floating about... a lot of people outright dismiss the 6P because of an outdated view of the SD810.
