Nexus 7: Any good?

I recently got the N7 2013 and it has worked flawlessly so far. I also have an Ipad Air and I have to say I think the N7 is just as smooth and fast as the Ipad Air, and I think they will compliment each other nicely. The Air is great, but I wanted a smaller tablet as well and I just could not see myself spending $400 for the Retina Ipad Mini. Plus, I really wanted a Nexus tablet since I want day-1 OS updates and I have always wanted a stock android device again after previously having the Samsung Galaxy Nexus .

My only complaint with the N7 so far is the color accuracty of the screen. The N7 is a nice screen, very clear and sharp, but when I do side by side comparisons with the N7, the Ipad Air, and my wife's Kindle Fire 7" HDX, the N7 is the definitely in last place between the three. When side by side with those other tablets you really see how the N7 colors look kind of slightly faded to be honest. The HDX 7 and Air have equally amazing looking screens (at least my wife and I think that) and the colors really "pop". However, when not doing side by side comparisons with those two tablets, the N7 looks just fine.

Thats one way of looking at it but Some say the other tablets are over saturated.

I love mine so far. I just arrived this morning via UPS. Ordered from the eBay seller GreenGadgets. 2013 model 16Gb for $149. :D
I mainly got it to play games and watch movies, seeing as how I don't really like doing those on phones (I have an iPhone 5, but I wouldn't do them on Android phones either) & also I wanted something Android because I've been missing it lately. I think you'll enjoy it & it'll fit your needs.

I bought my N7 32GB 2013 this past weekend. So far, so good - No issues. Bought my daughter the same unit this past December as a gift and she has had zero problems with it. We both use our N7's for email, web surfing, games, streaming video, etc. Very handy...

You were right afterall!

We should start a contest on when the winners will be announced. Before Cupcake is released? Before the G2 is released? Before the next Round Robin? Before the Dow drops to 1416 and none of us can afford cell phones?

That's possible. In order to determine, you need an original that you know for sure is accurate as your baseline, rather than comparing those devices to each other alone
