Nexus 7 available from Micro Center stores 7-22-12

Just picked up the nexus 7 (16GB) that I am typing on now from the Micro Center store in St Louis. Walked in and asked out of curiosity, not really expecting to find one, but the sales guy said they just got a bunch in the door. If you are still looking for a nexus 7 you may want to check your local Micro Center, I know that they have stores in 16 states. FYI, you still get the $25 play store credit when buying from a retail store.

Confirmed. I was just able to order mine for In Store Pickup from the Cincinnati/Sharonville location. It said that there were 10+ in stock. For some reason, searching the Microcenter site for "Nexus" returns no results and the item was also not showing up under the "Asus" results. However I was able to find a link via what appears to be a "Google Shopping" back door and complete the order.

To see if your nearest location has any, go to Micro Center - ASUS Nexus 7 16GB Tablet NEXUS7 ASUS-1B1 and then choose the location from the "Shop your Store's Selection" dropdown box at the top center of the page. Here were the locations showing that there were units available as of 7:28am on Monday (7/23/12) morning:

Choose your store to check stock. Most have 10+ units available. Ordered mine this morning and just got my "Ready for Pickup" email.

i just ordered mine today with in store pickup; received the email saying my reservation is ready to be picked up; i am waiting till they open at 10a to call and confirm before driving there on my lunch

Great thread. Luckily, I have a Micro Center less than 10 minutes away and I'm working from home today. Picked up our second one (for the wife since she loved it). Just finished unlocking and rooting. Beautiful!

Thanks for posting this thread. i had "pre-ordered" on July 12 and was frustrated like everyone else that retail stores were selling them off of the shelf before i received mine. I went to the link above and cancelled my order and got cancellation confirmation in about 30 minutes. I picked up my Nexus 7 at Microcenter shortly thereafter. The Microcenter in St louis had 4 others next to mine that had been purchased for online pickup. I can't wait to finally start using this!

I saw this earlier today and when i went to place my order there was 5 left at the paterson nj Micro Center. By the time i was going to submit my order for store pick up, all 5 were gone.
