Just received the new Nexus 7, can anyone advise me the steps to back it up to my computer on windows

If you're trying to backup the whole OS like a phone, then you'd probably need custom recovery like Clockworkmod. If you just want to backup apps, try Titanium backup or Mybackup pro.
