Hey guys,

I'm very new to Android and through a series of stupid decisions I've managed to wipe everything on my device. All I have remaining is the bootloader and the custom recovery (TeamWin) that was installed when the device was first unlocked/rooted.

I've tried to use Nexus Root Toolkit to re-install the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 factory image but that doesn't seem to be working (specifically it won't download the image and when I download it manually, it won't recognize the files downloaded).

After that I searched online to find out how to do it manually. I found this video by SladeNoctis (How to return to Stock / Updating with Factory Images / Unbrick your Nexus 7 - YouTube) which seems useful but it assumes that the viewers know how to setup all the SDK stuff. As a complete newbie I don't have a clue! I'm willing to learn but it's all so far advanced of my current experience that I don't know where to start.

In terms of the current state of the N7: It's the 32gb wifi only, that was running 4.2.2 before I went and messed it up. Now all I get when I turn it on is 'Google' and the unlocked padlock. I can get to the bootloader so I assume I can flash the 4.2.2 image back onto the device but I've spent all day trying and so far I am no closer to doing it.

If there is a way to use the nexus 7 root tool kit that would be great since it's much simpler but happy to do it manually so long as there is a clear step by step that doesn't assume too much prior knowledge.

Sorry for starting a thread for something that I'm sure has been dealt with a million times but I've been hours at this now and I just need someone's experience to help me through.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

Stu
