NEXUS 7 - DO BUY! Here is why...?

Completely agree with OP! I replaced my rooted Nook Color with a Nexus 7 and I will never go back. I have a laptop that isn't even charged now, since I don't need it.
This thing is perfect and it fits in my purse! Got a Nillkin leather cover and couldn't be happier.
32GB is plenty of room. I have this thing loaded with every app that I wanted, movies, pictures, music and about 1000 books, still have 22gb left!
OTG cable is on the way though so I can backup to flash
I would recommend this tablet to anyone looking for an inexpensive android tablet.

Since I have the 32GB unlocked version, I decided to try out the Navigate app last night. I can honestly say that I will either give away or sell my Garmin GPS. This N7 is amazing as a GPS. I used my T-Mobile data sim last night although I have an AT&T data sim also but T-Mobile speeds are up to21Mbps in my area. The map scrolled perfectly and my data connection never once failed to download the map as I was driving.

Way back, I tried the AT&T Navigator and AT&T data was so slow that I was looking at a blank background where the map should have been.

This is yet another reason to get a Nexus 7 although you have to get the 32GB unlocked version to use T-Mobile or AT&T. BUY!

The Nexus 7 doesn't need a constant data connection to use GPS. Just go to google maps and make available offline. GPS will still work.

Agree, absolutely love my Nexus 7 and bought one for my mother in law as well. By far best 7 inch tablet out there.

Love mine, bought a 32gb for me and passed my Acer 10" to my mom for angry birds haha

I love the form factor! I can type on it pretty quickly (^^, )

Do you type it portrait or landscape mode? And if both, which is used more often and which is more easy? Also, what keyboard are you using? Stock, Swype, Swiftkey, etc.

Oh I'm almost always in portrait. Except when I browse the web. And I'm using just the stock android keyboard. Have tried others but always come back. I'm use to my blackberry.

I haven't played with the swype keyboard, maybe I should check it out.

Sold my ipad and bought two Nexus 7's (one for me and one for my son). We love them! The size is perfect! Love being able to hook up PS3 controller to it for gaming (SG: DeadZone is awesome!).

so you dont have N7 but you're trying to get people to buy it?

What makes you say that I don't have one? And for your information, one does not NEED to own something to recommend something. And also, I'm not trying to get people to buy it, I am informing them the REASONS why they should get the Nexus 7 tablet. And besides, all the reasons I posted are valid and true. Ask any Nexus 7 owners and they will tell you.

kthnxbai~

i own a N7 and do recommend it my point was it sounded like to me since you posted just a short while ago that you were saving to buy one that you didn't own one and how can you recommend something you don't own. That was my point.

This baby gave me what my Lumia 920 WP could not give.

Live Wallpapers.. (^___^ ") :weeps:

I love my Virtual Aquarium and virtual fishes swimming around my N7.

I love my Windows Phone because we can customize too.. But we have jack to customize.. No nothing.. Just tiles! I love my virtual fishes!

Sales people and reviewers pitch products they might not own all the time, sometimes they've never even used them. I've had a few Nexus 7's and I love them; very excited to see a refresh this year if those rumors are true.

very different...sales people/reviewers are doing what they do as a job they are not wannabe owners.

True, but I'd recommend the Samsung S4 to meant people even though no one has one. People who I trust have reviewed it.
