Who do I send this back to? Google or Asus? My screen is separated and I believe they dropped mine. Has a noticeable ding on the bottom and the silver is chipped on the side. It wasnt a big deal at firsts... but the screen seems like it is going to fall off.

Where'd you get it from? I believe Play Store orders go to Google, the rest go to Asus.

Bought mine from Staples, it has the left side raised glass issue. Tried the pop-the-back-off and tighten screws fix. It's better than it was before now, but still raised more than a friends that was delivered via GP. I have a July 6th pre-order that is supposed to ship today (no email yet) so instead of refusing shipment I may take delivery and check to see if that one is any better, then return the worse of the two. Yeah, it may end up costing me $14 more than just keeping the locally bought one, but i would rather have a flush glass screen than $14 bucks and lots of hassle.

Of course, I may yet have hassle anyways...

To bad, otherwise I love the thing!

Mine had a little bit of separation on the left side too. It seems better now, but I'm worried it might get worse. I hate to return it since I have no other issues.

Went through 4 units at Sams to try and find a good Nexus. No dice!! Each one had raised glass on the left and the creaking. One powered up with the NFC problem, one powered up but the LCD just showed bright white. This is getting old.

Just called google services and getting a replacement being sent to me.

Mike was very nice and helpful. I hope my replacement doesn't have glass separation issue

This is why I didn't return mine. I am trying a TPU case from amazon that will cover the side. I will let everyone know if is helps.

Ya I know the Asus case should actually cover that part now if they would just sell it already!

There are TPU cases available on amazon for $6 with free shipping. That is what is on its way to me. Looks like it should cover the edge and maybe keep the screen in place, or at least keep me from noticing.

Ya. Got the Amazon Basics case for 7 rich tablets clearly for the Kindle Fire but it works quite well for the Nexus 7. A stop game solution till better cases come out.

Maybe this is why the Play tablets were delayed. Maybe they were "Fixed"?

I've been using my play tablet for a few days now and I haven't experienced the glass separation issue.

Nah. I have one from Google.....and it's got the separation problem. Very minor though. Gonna leave it alone and see how things go.

I got mine from the Play store and it had the separation problem. It wasn't bad, but it was definitely noticeable that the screen was "mushy" on the left side.

I popped the back off and tightened the screws, we'll see how long it lasts.
