Morning all,

I received my Nexus 7 last Wednesday having pre-ordered from the Play Store in the UK.

I am very pleased with the device on the whole however I have noticed that there is a slight defect on the left hand side of the screen.

This is only slight and it doesn't move at all it just sticks up very slightly (less then 1mm) over the bezel. Whilst it is minor I am a bit funny about these things and I am conscious of it now so my question is should I exchange it or make do?

BTW I have taken the back cover off and had a fiddle with the screws so a) this doesn't seem to help and b) lets hope that doesn't prevent an exchange....

Thanks.

I have a similar issue and it seems to be a common one. As I stated in another thread, I don't think I would have noticed had it not been for reading about it on these and other forums. Given that we have a one year warranty, I've decided to keep mine and monitor the situation. If it worsens or causes problems, I'll contact Asus and/or Google. I also had a squishy display on my iPad 2 where the home button was located. After 1.5 years of use, it gave me no issues and never worsened. Hoping for/expecting the same outcome here.

I had this issue on my first unit and it got progressively worse. You might want to keep a close eye on it or consider exchanging it.
