Thanks! I test drove it too and got stuck. Here's the short: two fingers for swipes. For button presses, tap once, let it announce, then double tap it. Yes, awkward and slow for getting around, but much better that the normal nav if one is vision impaired. Try both methods blindfolded! Also, on TalkBack's activation screen, there a setting button at the bottom. This lets one customize the behavior. I didn't bother going through those since I'm not going to use this feature.

I called Verizon Wireless and they could not help me, as I could not scroll in my settings. Thank God I Googled my question and found this forum and the two fingers worked!! I was so frustrated and mad at myself for even trying TALK BACK. I LOST 2 hours trying to figure it out!! never again will I try using TALK BACK. Thanks a million!!

Screen has locked up. does not accept the slide passcode or anything. We were experimenting with it and turned on the talkback feature.... that is when the problem started. We can't turn off the talkback feature but we can't get it unlocked. PLEASE HELP! We have a nextbook nx008hd8g. thank you!:'(

Exhaling!!! I was compelled to sign up to thank you Foolysh and everyone for their comments, even though I don't do blogs and forums. I am a new tablet user, although I had years of experience of PC knowledge, these new machines or devices are sort of complicated when you have no knowledge of them.

I just brought my tablet on July 4th under my nephews advise. I like having a tablet which is like having a mini PC, but its a whole new world out there to learn..whew!! Also like many others I was exploring and trying to learn my tablet since it don't come with a dummies video, I have too was learning by trial and error.

I hope to get with my nephew soon to give me some minimal training when he's not too busy. Until then I have to depend on the wisdom and knowledge of myself or many of those on the Internet of course and grateful for that indeed. So thank you all and especially to Foolysh.

Be safe out there one and all, and do what you must but don't do what I felt like doing going insane and want to send back my device or smash it to pieces hearing that crazy noise and not knowing what to do. Just get on the internet or call someone to find the answers you need. After all we have to teach ourselves most times and get the advise of those who has previously in walked in our shoes, that way we can also help others as well. Be well Androids lovers.

Best regards,
NUTABUSER7 :D

OMG THANK YOU! I FEEL SO STUUUUUPID! I've been panicking for two hours! I found this thread on another device. Thank you so much! It's been like GOPHER! Try to hit the SETTINGS button before it disappears. Not for nothing but this TALK BACK application needs some serious rethinking! I can SEE JUST FINE and it drove me bonkers! Was trying to test it out for a blind friend. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A SIMPLE APP that will just read texts out loud without all the complicated crap? Thx
