Nexus 9 camera app shows in Settings, but not in App Drawer, why?

Nexus 9 camera app shows in Settings, but not in App Drawer

When I initially tried to use the Google camera app I received message "Unfortunately Camera has stopped". I cleared cache and restarted N9. Received same message. I tried again restarting N9 in safe mode. Same results. I uninstalled camera app and reinstalled. The camera app appears in Settings drawer, but is not visible in App drawer??? I have not tried a factory reset yet. My N9 is running Android 5.1.1 Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
