Yesterday I woke up and Nexus Imprint stopped Working. Called Nexus support and did multiple master resets and wiped cache etc....and still did not resolve the issue. I could not find many others that had this issue so I made a video and uploaded it to YouTube. I brought this phone on Swappa and was surprised but Google is sending me a refurbished phone to replace this one. Here is the link for the video:

Looks like a hardware issue for sure. That's great that Google is supporting you and sending you out a replacement device anyway.

I had a similar issue a few months back and they replaced mine as well.

It's good to hear that Google is providing good customer service. It sucks that it happened but at least you didn't have to jump through hoops to get a replacement.

When replacing, did Google do a pending auth on your debit/credit card until you shipped back the defective unit?

Yes they did. Why do you ask? I let them know the phone was a gift and gave them the gmail account it was associated with when purchased. They transfered the IMEI to my Google account and started the RMA.
