Nexus One Dyeing... best replacement?

So my power button is dyeing on this Nexus One... again. Makes me sad because this is by far the best smart phone I have ever used/seen. This time I am way out of warrantee, but I do have my SquareTrade warrantee. I am going to wait as long as the button holds out... but assuming it died TODAY and SqaureTrade cut me my replacement check TODAY. What phone is the best replacement? I am leaning towards the Nexus S because... well I like the Nexus Pure Google experience, but I have not kept up with the smart phones since buying the Nexus (self-defense against phone envy LOL) so what do you all suggest?

EDIT: BTW- It needs to be an AT&T Phone

I absolutely love my Nexus S. If you're coming from a Nexus One, you won't be happy with anything else

Do they have one in AT&T bands? Its not listed on AT&T site.

Another option I guess is to wait for Nexus 3 (Prime?) which should be released in October time frame. I have Blackberry Curve I could suffer with if N1 dies first, I guess....ugh.

Yes, it just came out, soldexclusively at Best Buy I think. From the few rumors, the next Nexus hasn't been mentioned for AT&T
