Just wondering if anyone has an idea of when all the Nexus One devices will be updated to Froyo 2.2? I have not received mine yet OTA and would love to have an idea of when it come. Thanks!

Hopefully within the next week or so, but it all depends on what Google considers "soon". Google and Apple are the top two phone makers IMO with keeping deadlines. Apple more so because they actually set actual dates and Google usually gives a time frame.

You can get FroYo now, but it's not the official version Google is releasing.

thanks for the info. I'm wary about putting on a version that is not official Google. I have begun recommending the Nexus One for my clients with brain injuries or cognitive issues and from what I have seen online Froyo has some added benefits that my clients could utilize.

If you don't mind me asking, what Froyo features do you feel will benefit them? I don't mean that in a challenging way. I am actually curious.

I was wary too at first, but trust me, its totally worth it. Its release grade already and you dont even have to root your phone. Plus, When the official update comes out youll still recieve it OTA just as you would have before. =D

Hey guys. I'm kinda new here, just got my Nexus One (a reluctant WebOS defector) and man, it's super speedy already, I can't imagine what it'll be like with Froyo!

But really looking forward to it. Hope the OTA is soon... I'd rather wait than root I think

If we applied the update.zip version of Froyo for the N1 that was posted a couple weeks back, then will we get an OTA for the official Froyo or do we need to revert back to Eclair? Or can we apply a new update.zip over the unofficial Froyo?
