Probably the biggest complaint for those using the official Nexus One car dock was that there was no full landscape support. Although, it also is a general complaint as well. Only certain native apps worked in landscape. For example, things like the phone, contact list (unless looking at a specific contact's details), home screen, etc. would only display in portrait even if using the car dock in landscape mode. This made it EXTREMELY annoying to even make a phone call with the phone docked unless you twisted it back to portrait...
But now with Froyo, the Nexus One has been given FULL landscape support. Everywhere from the lock screen and beyond, including homescreen and apps!
So clearly, the functionality is now fully supported. I just REALLY hope that the car dock is just the start and that we get the functionality to use the device landscape at any time in a future update.
