Nexus One or Nexus s

Thats true, I had to ask someone at my local best buy to see the Nexus S; he kept it uncharged behind the counter. However, they are on display, separated away from the other phones at Best Buy mobile stores.

That is exactly the opposite of my best buy in Orlando. They literally have a giant Nexus s which is actually functional along with a regular display phone and big signage. Lol. All I could think about was playing Angry Birds on it. It is huge.

Anyway, I was faced with this decision and lucked out to find someone on Craigslist who wanted to trade a mint nexus one for the g2 which I had, plus give me 60 bucks. Decision was made for me.

I haven't decided whether to get the Nexus S for my bday in Sept. Or wait for the next Nexus. I do like the idea of having owned them all.

I've seen those in photos. Your BB must be considered by corporate to be a #1 location for them in your region. Sounds pretty interesting.

I have been in 3 BB near me (10 mi radius); two had it locked in a drawer/you have to ask someone to see it, and the third had a free-standing display with the phone powered up and able to be seen by anybody. Given the fact this phone is an exclusive to BB, I just think it is downright weird that it would not be on display among all the other phones at the very least, much less with its own stand-alone display.

I think part of the problem is that T-mobile is not one of the three carriers for BB in my area, so their emphasis is on phones from those three. In addition, it seems their focus is now on the HTC/Verizon Thunderbolt, and maybe the NS is just old news to them by now.

In any event, this has been a piss-poor handling of a product by BB.

if you're gonna buy a new phone in sept
and you're worried about new stuff coming out...
just wait.
im sure google is going to release a new true nexus one predecessor
dual core and all sometime soon after sept(latest would be spring 2012)

but really after getting 2.3.3 on the n1
unless you're really dying for more speed or front facing camera...theres no point to getting an nexus s

remember you're also losing a microsd slot with the nexus

im too scared to sign a contract or anything anymore
i pay $65 a month for tmobile 500mins(which is more than enough for me), unlimited internet, unlim txt

cheapest plan i will find anywhere that also includes "4g"

=D

That would appear to be the LG G2x, coming in April (rumored, but the date not yet formally announced).

? 1 gHz Dual core Tegra2
? Stock Android (Froyo, but Gingerbread brings little and Ice Cream Sandwich expected by midsummer)
? 4" screen
? HSPA+
? 8 MP rear camera with flash/AF, and 1.3 MP front camera with Qik
? 8 gb internal memory, plus SD card slot for up to 32 gb

And more. Price not established, but these devices typically are $199 with new contract.

Interesting bonus: Some have noticed in the spec sheet the presence of a radio capable of 3G on both T-mobile and AT&T, leading to speculation that this phone is "future proofed" for any possible merger between the two companies. This has not been confirmed by either LG or T-mobile regarding the specific edition to be shipped to the US for T-mobile, but if these additional bands are present in the phone, it would be an excellent reason for some to upgrade with confidence.

N1 had the OEM cradle and car dock. NexS has very little accessory support. I'm all about the accessories.

N1 is missing Front camera... Might be bad when Skype finally updates (LOL)

I am having memory issues with my N1. Not all Apps can be moved to sd, and the 500 lb is just not enough memory. Plus I have some weird issues with my N1. Baltic feedback cuts out, loss of data connection, loss of Google services connectivity- all makes me think it might be time to upgrade when the att flavor NS is out.

So funny to see how the touchscreen auto correct corrects things! If not obvious, "500 lb" should have been "500 mb"; "Baltic" should have been "haptic".
