Nexus One vs. the Nexus S - Kind of disappointed

I know the Nexus S is a slightly upgraded Galaxy S but the hardware was specifically designed for the software. The other phones that are currently out will not be able to fully take advantage of 2.3. The two main reasons that I will buy this phone are no carrier bloatware and faster updates.

how is Tmobile's coverage? That is another thing I am considering. I want this phone (or the N1 really) because I really want a stock experience...but cmon, Tmobile only?

I kinda agree with Bushido Brown's post on Page 1. No real reason to feel disappointed. It's got some of the best bits though it does leave out a few things like BT 3.0. NFC is nice though I don't know how I'd use it. Still a stock android SGS without the bloatware/manufacturer-related-bugs on it is a nice thing for all those who want the latest updates and such.

Besides if people were that disappointed with it, come on would there really be 1000s of replies on the Nexus S giveaway :P

That's basically what buying the Nexus S is coming down to: essentially for the direct and clean Android experience. It's a shame that it comes at a hefty price, and I don't just mean the big $529 price tag. One has to give up HSPA+ support, expandable SD slot, and soon, dual-core processors. Of course, it's up to people's preferences how important those things are.

I think this dual core stuff won't be in our hands until 2nd half of 2011 as stated by the recent article from Texas Instruments. Perhaps Honeycomb will be designed for it and not Gingerbread at all.

We'll get announcements surely soon about it, but sounds to me that manufacturers won't have phones out until later in the year. I think Google knew this and that's why we got this Nexus S.

we like free stuff =) and i wouldnt doubt half of these people wanting to sell it if they win (but that's just my opinion)
