Nexus prime/galaxy

wow--did u misunderstand my comments! I was talking about MYSELF--not about youngsters who need to have a new phone every month or two! :) I'm more patient than many on high tech device forums, due to my age and personality. I understand you needing a frequent "fix".

Haha just thought the example you gave lent itself to some interesting questions :D its all good, I wouldn't consider myself an impatient youngster lol, I'm 26, but I am a tech nerd at heart ;)

LOL! At 26, you are DEFINITELY in the demographic that I was referring to! :) (I'm retired)

(and yes, it's all good. <g> )

Am I only one confused about the buttons at the bottom of the screen? How is that any better than the capacitive buttons we have now? I was under the impression the entire front of the phone would be screen with no buttons, but that is not the case. However after watching the leaked video I am definitely not feeling any Bionic Buyers Remorse.

Looks cool, will see how it comes out. Probably won't ditch my bionic for it but I'm sure people will.

Doubt it....ICS/OMAP 4460 designed to optimize dual core and save on power consumption.

If anything it will be ICS using the processor efficiently. All dual core phones may get a nice boost with ICS.

I'm pretty confident it will be an awesome phone, but that's not tantamount to me dumping my Bionic, any more than I'd dump my wife because I notice a pretty woman now and then.

Thats because your locked into a more than a two year contract with a massive early termination fee. ;-)

Anyway. I've already bought a bunch of accessories for the Bionic and, I really like the phone. The Nexus phone will no doubt be a better phone but, I'll probably stick with the Bionic.

The main advantages I think for the Nexus phone will be the screen and, being pure Google with ICS.

This is me right here but i do know that with ICS eventually coming to Bionic, I am not too worried about the rest of the nexus. There really aren't that many leaps and bounds between the two and I actually prefer the Bionic screen over the SAMO screens since they: 1. Look like more natural colors and not so overblown (unless samsung finally wised up and will give this phone the option to change saturation) 2. I can see the screen outside even with Polarized Oakleys on while i am working.

An extra couple inches of screen realestate and a additional .2mHz clocking out of the box really isn't a must have. Granted it has NFC but thats not really that big of a feature to have right now other than "hey look what I have". Once that technology is more expanded around the country then yeah it will be a must have but right now depending on where you live It is really hit or miss. Again, minor spec increases over Bionic so not really world shattering enough to sell off my Bionic.

To sum it up I am very happy with my purchase and don't see alot of the nexus really benefiting me over what I am already getting with Bionic.

I'm glad I didn't wait also. The last Nexus phone I had made by samsung (nexus s) didn't have any nice accessories that I knew of. One of the things I enjoy about the bionic, is all the neat accessories. The car dock is awesome.
This is just one of the many reasons I bought my Bionic. I just love using it. Works well with the extended battery and the stand up case. My iphone pals are like "gimme lemme play with it :D

Personally, I think the 4.65" HD screen is reason enought to prefer the Nexus over the Bionic, not to mention always having the latest official ROMs.

The primary reason for the software buttons is so that you can have a bigger screen (eg, for video playback) without necessarily having a much bigger phone.
