Nexus Rumors?

My favorite Nexus rumor of all time: the Megalodon (Nexus 5). If that turns out to be true, its gonna be a serious piece of tech! Especially if it launches with KLP. Google could really hit this one out the park (kinda like they did with the Nexus 7) if they do this right.

I think in pervious years there has been lot more leaked rumors about the nexts nexus and android software. However this year's rumors seem sparce in comparison. I know that few rumor on previous nexus devices started as early as February.

Do you recall when the Nexus 4 rumors started leaking? I don't remember anything concrete from last summer.

My point not how concrete rumors just that their were rumors. I remember WSJ in may posting the infamous 5 nexus devices. I think though in Feb or march leaks between lg and samsung nexus rumors were before that.

Is it fair to assume the LG Optimus G2 will be released in August, and that gives credence to the rumors that a Nexus 5 will be based on the Optimus G2 and released a couple months later in the fall? Was that sort of the timeline of the release schedule last year with the Optimus G and Nexus 4?

The original was announced mid September and IIRC released in October internationally and in November in the US. The Nexus 4 was announced October 29th with scheduled release mid November (think it was the 13th or 15th), but supply issues blah blah, not many people had them until the end of December.

I'm thinking of getting the G2 but I really would like some news on a new Nexus phone and hoping Sprint will carry it.

Odds of a Sprint nexus are very close to 1,090:1.

If you want to stay with Sprint and the Nexus 5 is indeed based on the the G2, then yeah that'll be the closest device to it.

Moto X will be the most Nexus-like in terms of software, G2 in terms of hardware

*Edit: assuming Nexus 5 is based on G2
