Nexus S v. IPhone 4 dogfight Part 1

Agree about the marketing. I am not a fan of Apple mobile devices (too restricted feature wise, too controlled, and iTunes), but they are master marketers. Apple inundated the mainstream media with iPod, then iPhone, then iPad, and now Macbook Air commericials while most of the other vendors did not. Just starting to see mainstream advertising for Android phones, and Tablets. Before, the cell network commercials were more about the network than an individual phone.

On the way home from downtown Boston, pass at least a half dozen lighted kiosks ads for iPad and / or iPhone vs. zero for the competition. When the non-tech savvy public decides to try a smartphone, or tablet, the Apple brand is embedded in their mind from all the mainstream ads combined with all the free mainstream media mentions Apple receives when a new, or updated iOS product is announced, and then again when released.

Apple does not make the best mobile devices IMO, but boy can they market the heck out of newly introduced features that the competition had for years without the fancy name attached.
