Nexus Wifi Assistant

I have it on my Project Fi 6P and it really makes sense for that service as you don't get huge amounts of data. I'm not sure how much of an advantage it would be if you get lots of data with your phone plan unless you need to save data by switching to wifi...

Does anyone know where there are networks that wifi assistant will connect to? I got it on my phone and I want to test it out.

Checked and Wi-Fi assistant is now available in my phone. Gonna try it out tomorrow and see if it works.

Where do you check to see if you have WiFi assistant? I swear when I came home today and connected to my home network I saw a message I have never seen before on my 6P. It said something about verify the network?

BTW, it appears that Wifi Assistant is Off by default, so you need to enable it if you want it.

Or Settings -> Wi-Fi -> Gear symbol -> Use open Wi-Fi automatically

Still not showing up on my 6P.. Thought it would have been in the Connectivity Services update from a few days ago.....No Love

The main setting for this is in Settings - Google - Networking ... the entry is the VPN menu is simply the entry for Google's VPN service that this accesses.

If you don't see it under the Google settings, it's probably just a function of Google's staged rollout policy and your number hasn't come up yet.
