Considering purchasing the Nexus 6p but could anyone answer will my provider (US Cellular) have to pull my Nano Sim card from present Samsung Galaxy S4 in order to activate the Nexus phone? And has this been an issue with any service providers?

If you have a nano sim, you can pull it off current phone and insert it into 6p. At least that's what I did on VZ and all worked like a charm.

What if it is a micro sim card? Not sure if I got that right (been doing my research) Just worried if US Cellular is going to give me a problem. What exactly does this card do?

I think the Galaxy S4 had the larger SIM so you would either need a new one or will need to trim the one you have.

The SIM card is a "Subscriber Identity Module", it's what tells the network that your phone is attached to your account. It won't work anywhere unless you have a WiFi signal.

You need a nano card. Do you know if US Cellular supported nexus 6? If so, 6p should work. You just need them to give you a nano sim card. Our take the phone to the store and they will get you set up.

See if they will give you a Nano SIM. But if not then get a SIM cutter tool on Amazon which are usually under $10 and cut your SIM down and it will work.

Yes, they do carry (sell) the Nexus 6. So my thoughts were the same that the 6p should be supported.

Great news... US Cellular said it would be no problem to support the device and they even provide the nano sim card free of charge! 😄🙌

Sharon, I'm on US Cellular and running a 6p. When I set mine up it was hit and miss whether USC would activate the 6p. I found some good Info @ teamuscellular.com about activating the 6p. When I activated mine I had them send me a new SIM card then I called the toll-free number gave them the IMEI number, the SIM card number and told them it was a nexus 5x no problem. Good luck (you won't need it) you are gonna love the phone!
