NFC app is not working.

Trying to read a chip card through an app. Turned on nfc and beam. But no response. Has anyone encountered similar issue? Pls help. Thanks in advance.

Tell us what you are doing.

Do you realize that you have to hold the NFC chip against the back of the phone for it to read?

Turned on NFC and kept the card in the backside of the device. Immediately NFC ring tone is started from phone and it's continuous until i remove the card. I kept the card for few minutes but nothing resulted in the app. Repeated the step dozen times, but didnt help. I tried the same with samsung note3 and it resulted with in few seconds.

Which app are you using? Which tags?

I don't have the details handy, but so far as I know the Nexus 4/5 can only read Type 2 / NTAG203 tags. I am trying to use 'Flashpay Reader' and 'My ezlink' apps. These apps interact with physical chip cards to do transactions. As you said, the tag could be the issue. :-(.. If u come across any possible solution, pls do post. Appreciate your help.
