NFC using S View Cover

Just wanna ask. Does NFC work with S View cover? Mine is authentic with the 2 gold metal at the back. (?) I tried it with my friend's Note 2 and it didn't work. I was hoping I could transfer a MS Word document to her phone thru NFC but it didn't

I didn't have any issues w/ NFC while using my S View but then again I was only transferring apps between 2 different owners who both have a Note 3 and one w/ an S4. I'm assuming you have S beam on too while transferring (I was told by a Samsung rep both needs to be on). Maybe the document wasn't compatible w/ her Note 2? Try a test and see if the document will transfer by using it w/ just your original backing

Nfc radio antenna on note 2 is in the cover,, on the note 3 it's in the battery. The s veiw cover does not have an nfc antenna on it,, I am pretty sure those metal things are for inductive charging so if a s veiw cover is on a note 2 nfc will not work. That is the problem,, that is why nfc is not working on your friends note 2 with a s veiw cover on.

Would love the answer as well. I do not have another device to test the NFC with but I do have the S View and love it. Would be good to know if the NFC will work if I ever have the opportunity to use it.

Yes, nfc works fine with my s veiw cover on. There is no reason why it would not. As said earlier the NFC antenna on the note 3 is in the battery, not the cover so s veiw case would have no effect on nfc in the note 3
