Hey Folks.
Already made a few posts here and there so I'm not entirely new but I haven't quite introduced myself (skip the long paragraph if you only want to know my question);
I've been an Android user for a while; having used an original Nexus, D2 and now a Rezound (with BB's thrown in between due to work) and a HP Touchpad running ICS. My D2 served me well for a while and I loved the keyboard but it was starting to show its age. After replacement no.4 due to hw issues I decided to jump on the 50 dollar upgrade price for the Rezound (the 30 off for NE2 made it even sweeter!).
Even though I have only had it for about 2 weeks it is already my favorite phone I have ever owned. The screen, camera, sound, size, reception, battery life (yes even that..though I am using LTE switch!) are all exceptional. I have read many times how awesome Moto phones are with regards to reception and call clarity but for me the Rezound is better than the several D2's (regular and global) I have had. For some reason folks always told me I sounded muffled on my D2. I always wondered whether some folks speak at a certain volume, pitch, whatever that does not play nice with the noise cancellation mics on the D2. On the Rezound however, people can finally hear me clearly..and having a slight hearing impairment the earphone is also a lot clearer for me than the D2 was. (it seems to have a bit more treble which is easier for me to hear).
Only 2 minor things I do not like; I wish it was lighter than at least than my (although well built) brick of a D2 but weight seems to be almost identical and lastly; being a dust hater I do not like how dust seems to settle above and below the red earpiece because it curves down..forming a little crevice. (I know I'm nitpicking).
So..I could go on and on but here is the one question that is currently burning in the back of my mind:
NFC while still a bit of a gimmick seems like it will become more popular soon with more and more phones having the chip for it included. What is the likelihood the Rezound and other phones will get some type of 3rd party option to add a NFC chip of some sorts?
