Last December I bought me a pixel 6 pro. First time ever pixel user. I've been with Samsung since the fascinate.
I'm telling you guys it's nice to be back with Samsung with my new s22 ultra!
I'm not putting down the pixel, just not ready for prime time. A nightmare to say the least.
It's nice to have a phone the just works and this one does just that.

Every time I try to 'leave' Samsung I can't stand how bare-bones and unrefined other phones feel. At least as of late Pixel phones have been getting nice Google-only features, but it took a while! 'Vanilla' Android is just too boring for me.

Agreed! I came back to Samsung with the Note 20 Ultra after running a few years with LG phones. The prior Samsung device I had was the S3 before I made the switch to LG. While LG was good, it's nowhere near as polished and refined as Samsung. I also believe that LG used inferior internal components in order to sell at such low cost.

Honor where Honor is due (no pun intended)... I've never used an Android device with the standby prowess of LG phones. I left a V20 in a drawer, turned on (granted, no SIM card and only on WiFi, but still) and I came back after a week to find it still running and with a tad over 20% battery.

same here we all go off samsung to only find our way back...I too have tried many other brands of android but came back to samsung...as I love the note series and have owned soo many of them, note is always my main phone...as I use 2 phones daily the work phone I keep changing to try other brands...
but my main is always samsung ...
I think samsung Note series has no competition as of now ..till fold 4 comes with built-in spen

I'm doing the same thing except I'm trading in my iPhone 13 Pro Max for the S22 Ultra. A Best Buy near me had an unlocked Burgundy 256GB S22 Ultra in stock and I pulled the trigger. I tire of iPhones.

I'm also getting a camera protector and Whitestone Dome Glass screen protectors delivered today through same-day delivery on Amazon.

My 6 Pro ( camera software aside as always) was a nightmare.

Great to be back in the comfy slippers that is the S22U.

Its funny that the pixel lovers always use the tag line "just works". Nothing could be further from the truth. A dull buggy mess.

Nice to be able to make phone calls again . And swap sims in under 7 clicks.....

I was an LG loyalist and jumped off at the V30. They had so many features that were ahead of their time (always on display, rear buttons, tap to wake, strong DACs). But once they started straying away from their unique features and other phones caught up, I jumped onto the Galaxy S9+ and I was hooked. Only iteration I skipped so far was the S21 since it just didn't seem to be enough of an upgrade from the S20+.

I loved my LG V20. That phone still has the best audio quality of any I've owned.

I'm sorry and will have to strongly disagree but buttons in the back has been (for me) the worst idea in the history of worst ideas on all ideas...ideas. Literally had cramps on my fingers. They were just NOT right for me at all haha kinda the reason I stopped testing the V20, actually.

I LOVED the back buttons. And the fingerprint sensor on the back. Just felt so natural to me.

So glad you are enjoying your Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra! You gotta do what's right for you! What colour did you get?

Those were my reactions as well. Touching the FPS with my left hand when picking up my V20 just felt natural.

I had the LG v20 for a year and went back to Samsung. But I did like the fps on the back. But I love Samsung have had since note 4.

Do they use that? I know that's associated with the iPhone, but don't recall it being used for the Pixels. If it is, it definitely is incorrect. The Pixel 6 Pro was hands down the buggiest, least reliable and most frustrating phone I've ever owned. Worst part is, I'm looking to sell it, but it looks like I'll be getting half of what I paid for, so the resale value of the phone has absolutely tanked.

Then I come back to the Galaxy phones (S22Ultra) and wow. I can make calls without dropping out, I can hear the other person clearly, I can connect my phone to my car's bluetooth and it doesn't drop out, wow the phone doesn't heat up randomly and burn through battery life. It's a phone that actually just works. And to think that Samsung produce a more stable software experience than Google - who own and create Android, is just hilarious to me.

Enjoy the S22 Ultra - I've been enjoying the phone a whole lot.

I don't have any of these issues with my Pixel 6 Pro. Now is the S22 Ultra better in a lot of ways? Yes it is. Camera is still better on the Pixel, especially for taking pictures of kids and pets.

Coming from an iPhone 12 Pro Max, I can absolutely say that the Pixel 6 Pro...just works. My iPhone was an absolute buggy mess and my wife's iPhone 13 Pro has been so bad to the point she has considered coming to an Android which she has NEVER had. I'm sorry you have had a poor experience but it is not the case for 99.99% of Pixel owners.
