Night mode - dark or black ?

I noticed that a lot of Samsung apps have dark background instead of black. E.g. Settings, Messages, Phone ... have dark background and My Files, Calculator, Notes have black. Is it a bug of One UI 1.1 ?

A content in all apps has grey/dark background in rounded square/rectangle and the "main" background in all Samsung apps should have black color.
A problem in some apps as I wrote is that "main" background is not solid black (it looks like a gradient dark-black).

Can you post a screenshot of your phone app vs your calculator? I'm not on an S10, but my Note 9 on Pie has those apps looking the same to me in dark mode.

Night Mode is only Samsung UI and Native Apps ..

We do not understand each other as I noticed. I said about Samsung apps only and that is different in the background color of native Samsung apps (some Samsung apps have dark and some black color).
This difference is most visible in the dark or night.

Sorry misunderstood, it should be same for all the ones you mentioned , possibly a bug or see restart fixes any small glitch.

As I said, screenshot example?

On 1.pic of Settings app you can see the dark background instead of black. A visible transition between display and frame.
On 2. pic of MyFiles app is the black background.

I tried to turn on/off the Night mode and to restart phone many times. I think that is a bug in One UI because if I set black background on home or lock screen the transition is not visible.

It is weird because in some Samsung apps I can see a dark-black gradient in the background and it is visible in screenshot.

It's possible could be a bug , if you want try in safe mode just curious don't Know if safe mode would allow night mode to stay on but it's easy to do.

I'm not understanding, this is how it's designed. Your are seeing it correctly. Night mode is not pure black everywhere. It's pure black inside some Samsung apps like phone etc. But in settings page there is pure black dark ground along with gray box gradients etc. Same with my files app, messages app they all gray gradients inside the cards.

Attached screenshot. What you are seeing is how it's designed. There isn't any bug nor there is any problem in your phone.

If you want a pure black theme with dark everywhere, then go to theme store and there are few options for your desired behavior. Personally the inbuilt is dark enough in most UI areas for me.
