I have an ATT galaxy s5 and on my Sprint galaxy s3 while charging i was able to set the phone up to show me the time without having to wake the phone up. I do not see this function available with the new touch whiz. is there any apps you can recommend?

I use Dock Clock. I came to Android from BB and was looking for an app that resembled their bedside mode.

They have a free and paid versions - I use the paid version don't have any issues.

I think you can use dream mode and set it to run a clock app whilst charging overnight

If you already have Widget Locker installed it works very well with the Daydream mode found in settings.

I currently use Timely, but Gentle Alarm had a nice night mode too.

I'm using the free version too, it does what I need it to do. Btw, I love your signatures lines.
