My new Honor X6b Android 14 phone has a missing clock on the home screen. I accidentally removed it while setting up the phone but I cannot find how to restore it along with the date and my phone's name. Please help!

Long-press any empty part of the homescreen, then look for the Add Widgets option. Find your Clock widgets and add back the one you want to the homescreen.

I should have mentioned in my query that I tried that. A long press does nothing, as does a double tap. This is rather less intuitive than my previous Android 11 phone. I had installed a 3rd party QR code app which I've uninstalled - I read elsewhere that they can remove the clock for some reason - but it's still gone.

pinch the home screen with two fingers, tap "Widgets," then select the widget you want to add and drag it to the desired location on your home screen; if using Magic UI 6.0 or later, you might need to tap "Cards" first and then swipe to the bottom to access classic widgets.

See if this helps.

That solved it and educated me into a part of the UI I knew nothing about. Thank you!
