Thanks for your help. The scanner works with all of the other scanner app. The Lottery app worked 2 weeks ago. I've made no changes to the system.

Maybe the lottery app recieved an update or is corrupt or missing a permission. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

I checked all of those suggestions. Still won't scan. I've emailed the Developer and waiting for a response.

Did you answer the two questions as indicated for permissions?

I don't have a Jersey Lottery to test but when I tried it with a New York one it comes up as invalid. What happens when you try?.

I've done that twice. Each time I have to reset permissions as though it is a reinstall. I've tried other NJ Lottery apps and their scanner works but its not as simple as the NJ Lottery official app. Any other suggestions?

So then it sounds like a software bug. Could be an incompatibility with Android 10

Thanks. That may be the reason why it doesn't work. I'm surprised that no one else has reported the problem with the Official NJ Lottery app. I will post again tomorrow and be more specific.

Here is the problem in detail. I have been using the Official State of NJ Lottery application. Until I installed Android 10 official application (no betas) the application worked flawlessly. After Android 10 was installed, the scanner portion of the app stopped working although the rest of the app worked fine. I've uninstalled the app, reinstalled, reset all the permissions, and it still doesn't work. I've emailed the Developer, posted feedback, so I don't know what else to do. Good news. The State of NJ just issued an update that fixed the scanner problem.

Looks like you might be stuck up on Brokeback Scanner Mountain...... make the most of it ;-)
