no 4k/1440p on YouTube

In order to see the 1440p or even 2160p resolution option on Youtube. TWO criteria have to be met.

1) Your phone needs to have the screen resolution to display the image. Otherwise Youtube won't give you the option. No point watching a 1440p video on a 720p display because you cant see the extra pixels.

2) The video that you are watching has to have been uploaded in 1440p or 2160p. It might have only been recorded in 1080p and there is no higher version

If you provide a Youtube link, one of the members can check for you if they have anything different. Hope this helps.

The HTC 10 has a QuadHD screen resolution. I'm not seeing an option to watch video in 2160p or 4k. This video: https://youtu.be/hZHzU1mxJZc should have the option I believe. I just looked for a video that had "QuadHD" in the title.

Interesting. The video you linked does have a 1440p option so that's fine. As you said, the HTC 10 does have a QHD resolution so you should be able to watch the video in that resolution.

Have you had any screen replacements done on your phone? When you take a screenshot, does it have a QHD resolution?

Are you on WiFi or mobile data? Some cell carriers like T-MOBILE charge extra for HD video streaming, works fine on Verizon with my S7 or on WiFi for me.

Interesting. The video you linked does have a 1440p option so that's fine. As you said, the HTC 10 does have a QHD resolution so you should be able to watch the video in that resolution.

Haven't had any screen replacement, and yes screenshots are in QHD.

I've tried both WiFi and mobile data and it still does not work
