No app shortcuts on lock screen

So about a month or so ago the app shortcuts that are supposed to be on the lock screen disappeared. I've restarted the phone, deleted caches all around and short of me restoring the phone I'm not sure what to fix in order to get them back. No matter what apps I choose they do not show up on the lock screen. I'm not sure if in my search to fix my google assistant I may have changed something like a permission but I'm not sure how that would effect these icons from appearing. Any help is appreciated.
