No apps button or drawer, no long press, etc. What should I do?

No apps button or drawer, no long press, etc.

Hi all. I just moved to China and bought a Xiao Mi phone (Model HM2LTE-CMCC) to use with China Mobile. It is running Android 4.4.4.



I am trying to set up my homepages as I like them. However, there is no Apps button and there is no Apps Drawer. Furthermore, there is no Long Press on the home screens.



I tried installing a 3rd-party apps launcher, but it hung when I launched it. I uninstalled it.


Any idea how I can get my apps button back so I can set things up the way I like?

ALSO, if I try to move an icon that IS on my home page, all the others move as well. It's like herding cats.

U can manage all the buttons from additional settings in button section if u r using miui 6
