No Audio Calls / Proximity Sensor Issues Becoming A JOKE!

Let me ask this question: Are any of you using bluetooth? I have this feeling it is somehow related to bluetooth use, especially the proximity sensor issues.

I'm not using Bluetooth, never have and it happened to me twice today, three times total since i got the phone on Thursday.

Do you have proximity sensor issues or just the no audio issue on calls?

Just the no calls.

It happened once on Friday morning when taking off the charger, then none all weekend. Then it happened again this morning off the charger, then again about an hour ago when i received a call.

I haven't had any proximity issues just the no audio problem. And now its even starting to kick me off of calls... This sucks because this is the only issue with my Photon.

Wow I think this is the longest thread I've ever started. How depressing.

I am very upset with the Sprint Store employees right now. They refuse to swap my phone for another because a "software update is coming". I called customer care and they tell me "they have to give you an exchange, it's the rule". But, it seems the the store management have been instructed to not replace the MoPho for these issues. I have been to multiple stores and gotten the same stupid response. I am ready to drop Sprint and go to (gasp!) Metro PCS...

450 min/month talk/text/data = $80 + $8 insurance + $8 taxes + $5 for the stupid "monthly spending limit plan". That's over $100 a month for what..poor customer service and and phone that doesn't work?

The Sprint Store I went to said they would only swap once. That I had to go to a 'full service' center and hand in my phone the next time. The new Photon I got 2 days ago immediately had the audio issue. It took 45 mins to swap out and have stuff ported over, not worth my time to do it again. I with there was another decent Sprint phone available

I don't believe that "swapping out your device" would be a solid solution to fixing this issue.. Its most likely an issue that all or most of them have.. the ones that say its not happening to them just haven't experienced it yet. Lets just hope the "upcoming update" fixes it.

I just tried the whole "pull the SIM card out" and also cache cleaner tricks to see if that can at least help the issue before an OTA fix comes out.

I love my Photon, but this issue is a DEALBREAKER if not solved before my 30 days is up. I cannot miss important calls because of it.

I know this isn't my thread but just keep calling sprint and express your complete dissatisfaction with there service. Sooner or later they will give in. I got $66 a month with everything including insurance. Sprint customer service sucks and they know it.

sent from my Cyanogen Optimus

give it by the end of this weekend.

I just switched to sprint on Friday. So far I love the reception and the data speeds. I just hope Motorola and Sprint can push the update out soon. I have almost a full month left on my 30 day, hope it's resolved before then.

To those that cant wait. Flash the leaked update vis RSD.
It makes no sense to potentially void the warranty - I went the other direction and bought the $8/month insurance plan because the Photon out of the box is unreliable

I just bought my phone yesterday, and today I was trying to call my wife. She couldn't hear me nor I her. A reboot fixed it. Is this the problem that the OP is talking about? If so, I'm pretty disappointed to see other people having this problem.

Yes, many people have this problem -- do use is any of the docking stations ? (Car, HD) - I do and wonder if it's an issue

I never had a docking station and the 2nd and 3rd units I ran with no additional apps downloaded. None of it made any difference.;

I have read on other forums that removing the sim card does the trick - can anyone report positive results from doing this?
