So, does this resolve the problem?

I've been out of town (and out of wifi range) for a week. Today I had the "no sound" problem, and on a whim, I looked to see if the phone had any updates. It did, and the text looked like it might be exactly what I was looking for, so I downloaded it, and have just installed the update. Then I came here to see what the buzz was.

I havent had the problem since. So far so good. Fingers are crossed.

So, does this resolve the problem?

The consensus I've seen across several forums is that if you suffered from the silent call bug, the update likely fixes it. Not everyone has reported success (particularly some early adopters on the XDA boards) but most people posting after the official OTA update report being good to go.

I haven't noticed any problems, for what that's worth, but I didn't experience the problem before the update, either.
