No correct notifications on lock screen. on P8

has anyone had the "problem" where you use the stock SMS app/Whatsapp and get a new message, only a speech bubble is seen on the lock screen. There's no text or anything of the message.

Similar problem with 3rd party SMS apps – dont even get a notification on the screen, just the status bar.

Same situation as other apps as well (Facebook/Ebay etc)

all situations, i've got all notifications turned on in settings (sound, status bar, lockscreen).

Looks like i'm only getting notifcations by sound and on the status bar (hence i'm missing a lot of notifications since i'm not hearing/seeing them)

is it because i'm still on an old firmware? Or how Huawei have done notifications?

There's nothing found to update to a new one....

Under Options -> Lockscreen and passwords, did you check the option "show detailed info"?

I took a screenshots of the steps you need to follow in your settings, it's in Dutch but the icons should be the same.
