No Custom Wallpaper Allowed?

When I use a Gallery photo as my wallpaper, the setting volumes become immutable. Impossible to change.

(Is this any way to design a phone?)

Just a simple Gallery photo destroys the Volume functionality.

Reasonable.

Either Wallpaper or Volume.

Who would possibly want both.

My error.

I found a way to turn off the volume at night.

Rip the battery out.
