No data connection

I bought a new nexus 5x, unlocked, set it all up, popped in my Verizon sim card and nothing happened. It did recognize the card and says verizon, but no signal. I'm waiting for my project fi sim card. Any help?

Yes, rebooted. As I was looking into thr mobile settings, I did get a message that said if verizon customers are having a problem, they should call Verizon customer service and have them import the phones imei number into their database. Only reason I didn't do that was because I was on hold for over half an hour. And I'm getting my fi sim card today. They must be inundated with note 7calls.

Well my fi sim is in, took about a minute to activate and the 5x is working like a chatm. So far better reception tgan verizon in most places.

Mine did this, and a network reset fixed it, and is located next to the factory reset tab. I'm using cricket and was ready to blast cricket until I swapped the sim card into my N6 (with TMO sim) and the 6 worked fine; and TMO sim didn't work in the 5X. The network reset resets wifi, wireless and bluetooth.
