No flash got you down? Try this fix

Sock-Monkey Pete you have made my day!
I am a complete noob and I thank you for the clear and easy instructions for Flash.
I returned a Kindle Fire for my Nexus 7, and was so unhappy I no longer had Amazon Prime video or other Flash dependent sites. It is now the perfect device for me!

I pray for a speedy recovery from your injury. :D

I installed Firefox beta (15.0) after the two Flash APKs per instructed and it seems to work fine. CNN and ESPN videos work fine. The WordPress test link in post#1 is also good.

However, as some posts above mentioned, videos on ABC.com do not quite work as video images would come and go, and screen stays black most of the time.

Thanks! I installed Dolphin 8.5.1 and unfortunately it keeps crashing. I'm not a fan of FF.

For those of us who use Flash to access online games instead of watching video, what are the plans of the major browser developers to continue to support Flash in the next few years until all sites have converted to HTML5? I've installed Flash on my N7 and there are obvious problems with it now: slow responses, jerky motion, etc.

Is there a setting somewhere in Aurora that needs to be turned on to allow flash? When I click on something that needs flash I'm promoted to update flash. I used both apks here,.one after the other as suggested but can't get flash to work anywhere and don't see anything about it in Firefox settings.
Thanks for any help.

It actually falls under plugins. I attached a screenshot for you. You will want it checked as enabled.

Got it. Many thanks. I was looking for something with the word FLASH in it but enabling plugins worked great.

Thanks! Firefox works! Flash Player doesn't but not a big deal.

It does if you set it up right. Download the Firefox nightly build fro their site. Googleing Flash for nexus 7 will come up with the XDA thread with all the details.

I used this method and it worked perfectly on my Nexus 7 tablet. I used the flash APK's listed on this page and then Firefox Beta from Google Play Store. Follow the instructions you can't go wrong, it's really very simple...Good Luck...:)

Everything works great for me. Firefox is actually pretty fast. And flash works well. Thank you sock monkey!
