No GPRS data?

I was driving home to my parents for the holidays and noticed no "G" indicator on my Nexus S when driving in areas with no 3G or EDGE data service. When I tried to access services that require data, nothing worked. Never had a problem on my G1 or Nexus One while driving in these areas. Anyone else not getting data while on GPRS?

I almost always get Edge or 3g, but on my Nexus S I never get GPSR.... I got it sometimes on my Vibrant, but never on my Nexus S.

I was on the shoreline today where I'd normally get E and G coverage and I must say, I don't recall seeing G coverage on the Nexus S either. I get data fine in E or 3G but don't even know if it's ever negotiated GPRS to try that. -Pk

Nevermind. Must have been a glich. It worked fine on the way back.
