This is very frustrating. I went into Best Buy today to take a look at the new Galaxy Z Flip. Well they had it on display...but in a glass box! There was no way to hold it, feel it, or play with it. And the employees told me that even they can't open the box! This is ridiculous! No way am I buying a phone that expensive without being able to hold it and play with it!

Now I know that many of you have preordered and have received your new phones without seeing it first. Fine if you are comfortable with that but I'm not. Not at this price point.

I then went to AT&T to see if they had it. They did not yet have it on display but mentioned that I could preorder it. I guess I just need to be patient and hope that in time it will be on display somewhere where I can actually hold it. Its just frustrating! I had to vent.

Was the same with the Fold, don't think anyplace will keep them out until people stop trying to break them.

The screens on all the foldable phones are way too delicate to allow John Doe public to be playing with them and “testing” them.

I was lucky to get hands on with one at BB ...there have been plenty of returns since you can try it for 14 days and if you don't like it pay the $45 restocking fee which I don't think it's too bad

I got my BB open box today and it looked as described new. I also got the new purple that I ordered before the open box one was ordered. The purple one is going back to BB tomorrow and keeping the black open box that was $200.00 cheaper with all accessories included.

You can ask the Samsung rep in best buy that you are interested in the Z flip and want to play with it. They will take it out of the glass box and let you check out. They just don't want to keep it in the open because supposedly people come in and try to break it lol.

My mistake was walking into best buy and asking them to take it out of the box for me to check out. That mistake cost me $1300

Thanks! That's helpful. I'll check that out.

I was finally able to find the Galaxy Z Flip in a AT&T store (I am Verizon) that I was able to hold. I am in love! It feels so good. I am only worried about its durability at this point.
